After two successful cohorts of the Child Care Consultation Program (CCCP), twenty new family child care programs in southeastern Minnesota are now licensed and caring for children.

Shannon Wolters, Child Care Consultant, has provided coaching, resources, and grant dollars to the new providers through the program. Participants also receive 19 hours of free approved training, an emergency preparedness kit, a foldable compact crib, children’s books, learning materials, and program resource books. Individuals must be in the process of obtaining a family child care license, or recently licensed within the past six months to participate. CCCP has recently expanded to serve Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona counties.
