Families First of Rochester Program Outcomes

Families First of Rochester Program Outcomes program outcomes show we are ensuring positive beginnings for all young children and their families.

  • In the Fall of 2013, 48% of the 394 children starting Head Start tested as kindergarten-ready. By the end of the school year in May 2014, 88% of the children were kindergarten-ready.
  • Child Care Resource and Referral administers grant programs for child care providers. For the fiscal year 2013, the children being cared for by 128 providers benefited from the resources we granted to those providers.
  • An Olmsted County report shows 246 of the 246 families served by Crisis Nursery in 2013, had no maltreatment determinations six months after the services were used.
  • School Readiness and Head Start classrooms were "Parent Aware" 4-Star Rated.
